I am a Las Cruces, New Mexico, acrylic artist who specializes in capturing the vivaciousness and beauty of the desert Southwest.
I was a fine arts major at Ohio State University, and completed a Bachelor of Arts at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, and a Master of Arts at Oakland University in Rochester Hills, Michigan.
I taught art at the high school level before entering the corporate world, where I spent 28 years in a variety of managerial and other business positions. During my business career I frequently picked up my brushes, including illustrating numerous publications for civic organizations and creating the drawings for a children's book.
After retiring and moving from the Midwest to New Mexico, I returned to my first love -- art! The glorious desert colors -- terra cottas, sage greens, purples, blues, reds, golds and oranges -- are a strong inspiration for my work, which encompasses landscapes, historic buildings, still life and figures. I love them all!
I have studied with Annetta Hoover and Nancy Frost Begin, and am currently represented by galleries in Mesilla, New Mexico; Ozona, Texas; and at the Las Cruces Art Museum gift shop. My work can be found in private collections in the United States and Europe.
